There are a few reasons why I love Sundays... one, it's a weekend, two, it's usually a lazy, effortless day, and three, it's an excuse to brunch. Since moving downtown about two years ago, I have made it a habit to get out, socialize and brunch on Sundays. It doesn't happen every weekend because if it did, it would be nearly impossible to save (lattes and pancakes aren't cheap!). But when it does happen, it's amazing and one of the best ways to spend the last day of the week. I try to visit a new brunch spot each time, but sometimes I go back to ones that I've already had great experiences at, such as Weslodge. You can read all about it here, but I came specifically for the fried chicken and it did not disappoint.
And what better way to keep a sunday effortless than with a simple slip dress? I first wore this dress in Tokyo and realized how perfect it was for the heatwave. Not only does the lightweight fabric drape beautifully over the skin, it is also bares enough skin so your skin can breathe. The scoop back, side slits and thin spaghetti straps makes it so easy to move around in. We've transitioned into fall already, but I can always toss over a chunky knit sweater and throw on a pair of ankle boots, right?
