What perfect way to start off the new year than with a fresh blog layout? At the end of every year, I sit here and stare at my blog and get sick of the design. The amazing thing about working on the Squarespace platform is that it allows you to constantly refresh your blog and website with an array of templates to choose from. I'm still in the middle of making slight tweaks, but I figured that it was good enough to launch. This new layout is much more clean in comparison to the old one and puts more emphasis on the imagery. New year, new change so why not?

To kick us off, here's an outfit post from 2016 that I've neglected on the blog until today. One of my favourite trends this season is the mock-neck. It's feminine, but also comfortable because the fabric isn't quite as confining as a turtleneck. Perfect for those in-between winter days where it's cold, but not freezing. I was eyeing this one by Modern Citizen and quickly purchased it as soon as it came back in stock in my size. It was everything I thought it was going to be and a piece that I will be living in for the remainder of winter. The fabric feels luxe, but without the price tag and the side slits were pretty much meant for layering (so I went with a lace slip). Since I do live in the North Pole, I'm wearing this with a pair of over-the-knee boots most of the time.
