Introducing... my first pair of culottes and the most beautiful pair I've seen. Culottes have been around for awhile but these calf grazing pants took awhile to grow on me. I’m around 5’4 so these pants actually fall at a weird length for me making me appear shorter than I already am. After giving the trend some time, I started to fall in love with them and decided to finally give a pair a try. I stumbled upon these cute lace ones on Piin and ordered them in a heartbeat — I had little idea on how they would look on me, but it was a risk that I was willing to take because they’re just too perfect to pass up on. I like that these have a feminine floral lace and mesh design and is season-neutral so it will carry me into the Fall season. I found that the silhouette on this pair is much more form-flattering and the structured A-line shape makes it appear like a skirt, rather than like a pair of culottes.

The secret is actually in how they are styled and the trick to keeping your legs elongated is to pair them with the right shoes. I wore them with these Aldo heeled sandals and they instantly gave me more height and had a lengthening effect on me. When it cools down, I think I will give them a try with a pair of ankle booties. I now have a new view on culottes and cannot wait to pick up another pair!

Have you tried the trend yet?
