French Class

I never thought that I would jump on the sneaker/slip-on bandwagon, but here I am avec slip ons. The first time I fell in love with a pair of slip ons was when I saw Miu Miu’s metallic cap-toes, but at $800 who can actually justify spending that much on a pair? I came across these Geox ones recently and was pleasantly surprised by how much they resembled the Miu Miu’s, but for a small portion of the price tag. Rather than being a classic pair of crafted leather slip ons, these are printed with snakeskin and finished in patent. The metallic toe is by far my favourite feature of the shoes, but they are also comfortable and ultra-chic.

I decided to take a modern, cosmopolitan spin on a French-inspired outfit. By adding a pair of slip ons, it immediately balanced out the otherwise feminine look. I’ve walked in many types of shoes and these are made for walking on grass, cobblestone streets and everywhere in between. These slip-ons will be packed up in my carry-on tote for my trip to Montreal this upcoming long weekend!
