A trench coat is one of those classic outerwear staples that you can wear to anything and anywhere when the season is right. It’s timeless so you can keep the same one around for years and years until they begin to fall apart because of all the wears you’ve squeezed in. I’ve had this one for quite a few years now and it’s still perfectly intact, just with lots of natural wrinkles. I love that I can wear it multiple ways – here with a simple cami, pair of jeans and lace-up flats for a more polished look for weekend brunch dates or with a jersey dress, pair of sneakers and sunglasses for a laid back sporty feel.
I wish I could say that we’re finally in the spring season, but the weather took a turn on us this past week and dipped below zero degrees celsius again. We’re also expecting 5cm of snow this Sunday, which will mean I’m back in my UGGs and parka for the next little while. Hearing about this makes me wonder why I’m still living here, but Toronto is my favourite city and I can’t see myself living anywhere else (except for San Francisco, only if the housing was more affordable ;)).
