We don't have much of a choice but to embrace the cold weather so we may as well see the fall weather as a glass half full. The best part about the fall season is shopping for the quinteseential pieces that you can wear and layer on when the temperature drops. Despite the dreary weather, shorter days and darker evenings, I do love dressing for the season. I love the darker rusty, navy and bordeaux tones against the fall foliage. It's just so peaceful and relaxing. The three items that are fall-necessities for me are knitwear, leather skirt and ankle boots.
Knitwear — the one thing that I stock up on before the cold comes is knitwear. As much as I adore crewnecks, there’s nothing more cozy than a slouchy turtleneck sweater. This one is knitted with mohair and is gentle against the skin.
Leather Skirt — it’s true, they’re not the warmest, especially in Canada but nothing screams ‘fall’ like a little leather. They are versatile and adds a bit of edge to any outfit.
Stretch Ankle Boots — this new silhouette is the perfect fall counterpart. The stretch material makes it easy to pull on and acts as a sock-equivalent to cover up your ankles. They pair nicely with a short leather skirt, midi skirt and even culottes.
