álainn • bella, pronounced awe•lynn bella, is equal parts Gaelic and Italian and when translated, means beautiful. If you take a glance at their clothing, you will take notice that every piece that has been carefully selected and placed onto their website is very elegant and blissful. The style of their clothing and accessories changes along with the season so it will never disappoint. Megan O’Donnell, who is the owner of the company likes to keep her items affordable, but would occasionally sneak in a few expensive pieces that she feels, would be worth every cent.

As mentioned in an earlier post (here), I'm not much of a colour person and I probably own about a handful of coloured items altogether. However, I want to change it up a bit for what's left of the summer and perhaps throw in some colour and texture into my daily wardrobe. To start, I'm wearing a vibrant shade of coral here along with a sheer button up blouse, Prada Lucite heels, and some golden accents.
As promised, here are the photos from my trip to the Bata Shoe Museum with a close girlfriend. It was a well designed four-leveled museum with an array of admirable shoe-filled displays ranging from different time periods. They even featured a few artworks from the modern era, one of them being Justin Bieber's purple sneakers. My favourite exhibit would be the Roaring Twenties - I loved the sophisticated and feminine shoe art dating back to the 1920s. Although it was a quick tour, it was an interesting experience for a Saturday afternoon.

Fibi & Clo was kind enough to send me a pair of these drop-dead gorgeous Sea Star sandals to review. I couldn’t wait to wear them out so I quickly pulled them on and paired it with a simple outfit for the night. These sandals were inspired by the beautiful and peaceful colours of the sea and they go perfectly with everyday wear or special occasions. I’ll be sure to make the most out of these sandals before the summer ends and will definitely pack this along with me to my 7-day week in Cuba (yes, this trip has been confirmed!).
Be sure to check out Fibi & Clo because their shoes and accessories are one of a kind!

One thing I love about the spring/summer season is being able to wear airy chiffon scarves. I snagged this lovely weightless printed chiffon scarf at the Club Monaco sale last Friday. Even though autumn is on its way, I somehow justified this purchase... and the silk scarf purchase from earlier that afternoon.

A delicious brunch from a few weeks back at Sassafraz, located in the heart of Yorkville, to celebrate a girlfriend's early birthday. We spent the rest of the afternoon down at the Bata Shoe Museum scoping out a comprehensive collection of footwear from different periods of time and cultures (photos will be saved for another post).
