F21 dress, Zara lace-up wedges, purse (gift from friend)

Decided to post an outfit with these lace-up wedges after abandoning them for a few months. I miss wearing them, but I probably won't find myself wearing them for the next while since I'm against wearing anything that's not flat to school.

I'm so behind with reviewing all the SS11 shows, but from what I've seen so far my favourite would be Nicole Farhi's Spring 2011 RTW. I love the soft fabrics, airy pastel colours, and shiny whites.

I wish I could write more in this post, but I'm honestly out of words. I suppose the post from last Monday makes up for it, right? I hope so.

Wasn't it beautiful runnin' wild 'til you fell asleep

H&M top and trousers, Zara loafers

Feels like the only time I had in the past week was enough for me to light up a vanilla-butter scented candle and relieve the built up stress to Taylor Swift’s “Innocent”. I have been kept busy and awake to be bothered by all the readings and extra curriculars in order to stay ahead. I apologize for my absence and lack of replies/posts, but do expect more (or should I say less) coming ahead.

I wish I could be less of an anxious kind of individual, but I don’t expect to see a sudden change ahead. The stomach filled with butterflies won’t seem to disappear. I always seem to be stressing myself over nothing. I’m the type of person who would worry over an exam after having it written. Not exactly the person you would like to hang around upon finishing a final (ha).

At least my weekends aren’t exactly the worse. I managed to spend quite a bit of time over the weekend with Terrance and the rest with my family. Terrance and I, along with his best friend tried Ippai, a Japanese fusion cuisine for the first time. It was quite similar to Guu in terms of the dishes they had, but they also had their infamous ramen and sushi bar. I ordered the Japanese fried udon with salmon, a set of dynamite rolls, and an order of vegetable tempura. Terrance ordered the level four spicy ramen, which was possibly the worse decision he ever made in life. He barely finished it and had to water it down with hot water. His friend also ordered the spicy ramen, but he made a wiser choice and left it as it was. Overall, the experience was great (I would prefer Guu though) and I would definitely return for the combo for two.

I also purchased a pair of Michael Kors Carney riding boots after thinking long and hard about it. Having tried it on for four times has got to mean something. I’m still waiting for them to arrive at the store, but once I pick it up I’ll share it with you guys.

Oh, and yes I have finally dyed my hair dark brown :)!

Zara knitted sweater, F21 skirt, Chloe Elvire clutch

In love with this newly purchased knit sweater from Zara (the elbow patches are so cute!). Besides being able to wear this knitted sweater out, I'm not all that thrilled for fall to arrive.

The first week of school has started for me so I’ve been organizing everything for my classes. Surprising enough, I’ve been kind of eager for classes to start despite having to wake up early in the morning. I suppose it is different when you’re waking up for a subject that you’re actually interested in. I'm sort of looking forward to spending most days in the quiet room at the library since it's the only place where I can find myself focusing. And in case you're wondering, I'm in my third year studying Commerce (if I haven't mentioned already in my previous posts). I'm in between nervous and excited to being somewhat close to finishing university, but more so the former since I have no idea what I will find myself doing upon graduation. Hopefully I will have it all figured out by next year.

Sort of stuck with typing these pointless posts since nothing interesting has been happening. Oh well.

Organic by John Patrick S/S 11

When I first laid my eyes on a light, white slip from Organic by John Patrick, I fell in love. It might be a tad bit early to be blogging about S/S 11 collections, but I couldn’t resist. Without having to mention, this line is purely organic. I adore the simplicity and minimalism in his collection, as well as the fact that the fabrics used are either recycled, discarded or derived from organic materials. The alluring soft pastel palette and the particular vintage-modern presence which the outfits expose creates an irresistible crave.

So have you been to a place like this to see your breath as it paints against the sky

The last days of summer are approaching and I’m glad, for a lack of better words, to be spending them with my dearest friends, family, and boyfriend.

Second time in New York City in the last month and although it doesn’t feel much different from the first in terms of the brutal bus ride and places we visited, it was sweet having him there with me. Even though we couldn’t take a stroll down to Time Square, it was lovely walking down the streets nearby the harbour to notice the difference between Toronto and New York City. We found ourselves wandering along a street with a road filled with tables and chairs. I’m not exactly sure why considering that there weren’t any restaurants or cafés, but something about it made the city feel so much more romantic.

I also stumbled upon a Tiffany & Co. store down Wall Street and drifted around the area awaiting the opening of the store. I picked up the Return to Tiffany bead bracelet within a matter of ten minutes. It was unfortunate that we were short on time. Otherwise, it would have been lovely to stay. The golden lights and crystallized embellishments were remarkable. I suppose the short amount of time we spent wandering the streets away from the shopping outlets was a worthwhile preview of the beautiful city.

Garden party

September 4, 2010

"What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. They are but trifles, to be sure but, scattered along life's pathway, the good they do is inconceivable."

Here are a couple of photos from the garden party with the girlies. We filled up on white sangrias, bread with brie and other sorts of cheese, and snacks. The scorching heat and lack of sun tempted us to avoid any photo taking, but of course, we managed to get in at least over a hundred photos of us prancing around under the clouds.

It was sweet to finally sit down to a full out decent conversation between the girls. Talks about the future led us to creating a time capsule to hold our thoughts of what we will be five to ten years from now. Well, not exactly what we will be, but regarding more towards who will be engaged first and who will be the first to have kids. I’m more than grateful for these girls who I have grown up with in the past ten years and who will continue to be present in my life until we grow old. I can just imagine us being old grannies meeting up for high tea. It would have been nice if we were actually able to lock up the written into an antique box and bury it into ground. For now, an envelope will do.
