Dust on a butterfly's wing

Talula floral bustier, cardigan, fedora, F21 denim shorts, H&M brown belt

I have a slight feeling that I will become glued to these wedges for the next while. I finally got the chance to step outside with these and they were surprisingly comfy and bearable. I don't own many pairs of shoes which I find comfort in after walking in them for a few hours so I'm glad to have picked them up. Oh, and I finally purchased a fedora after searching long and hard for one that fits perfectly on my head. The semi-blended in black bow was a plus.

Spent this lovely day with some of my favourite girls and their boyfriends. Walked down Queen st. W and indulged in some more macarons (of course) at Nadege Patisserie. I love the simple, modern decor and how I couldn't stop drooling over the desserts immediately after stepping into the tiny shop. Took a bite into the salted caramel and loved it. I also tried the pistache and cappuccino but they were way too sweet. I would have much preferred the pistachio flavoured macaron from La Bamboche. I do regret not having had tried their tarts and croissants though.

We made reservations for an evening at O Noir. The purpose of this restaurant is to dine in the dark and to learn what it is like to be blind. The dining room is pitch dark, without any sort of lighting, which means no matches, no glow-in-the-dark items, and no cellphones. What was even more overwhelming was to find that the servers were also blind. The most difficult part was to step aside from the light and into the darkness. We had to stand in a line and place our left hand on the person's shoulder in front. We basically had to depend on one another just to get ourselves into our seats. We were served bread and butter and everyone pretty much had the worse time buttering their buns. The butter completely dropped out of my plastic container and landed on the table which I continuously touched every five minutes. Our main course arrived and I dreaded every second of it since I was placing nothing in my mouth but my fork. Well, until I finally gave in and used my hands. I ordered the filet mignon with vegetables and potatoes and it was delicious, but not as filling as we all hoped. For those who didn't order the starter dishes, ordered the surprise dessert. We all ended up with the chocolate truffle, but it wasn't anything spectacular. It was way too sweet and chocolaty. As I did prefer some lighting to feel a bit more safe and secure, it was interesting to get a brief insight of how life would be like if I were to be blind.

Talula cardigan and floral bustier, Cheap Monday jeans, Aldo wedges

Here's an outfit post of my new wedges. I love them! They're extremely comfortable and lovely.

What I love much about the beach is that I feel so lighthearted and carefree when I'm there. Laying in the sun either listening to music or reading, while enjoying the beautiful weather and the hot sand. Spending hours there in the sun waiting for it to set and the slight chill to arrive. I love this spring weather! I hope all of you are taking advantage of this lovely weather as much as I am right now!

Wilfred bustier, F21 shorts and cardigan, JC flats, Mango satchel

Finally breathing in some Spring air. Spent away last week’s sunny weather indoors studying while others probably dug their toes in the sand down at the beach. Had lunch with my boyfriend today at some bakery place and picked up some macarons. They looked so tempting in the package. Unfortunately, they did not taste as pleasing as I expected, but what did I expect from a Chinese bakery that is attempting to make/sell french macarons? Lesson learned: looks can be deceiving. Terrance took me to a park that he found while biking and it was beautiful. I love the fact that only a few knew about this place so it wasn't crowded like Main St.

I’m hoping to get out of the city for a few days over the summer break. Something nature filled would be lovely – perhaps camping. I’ve never been a huge fan of camping, partially because of my fear of insects and bears (if there are any) coming to your tent in the middle of the night. I would love to enjoy the dreamy night sky where you can lay on the ground and stargaze though and waking up the next morning for a walk down to the nearby beach to catch a glimpse of the early morning sunrise (or the sunset later in the evening). I just want to free myself from the everyday life crowded with people, traffic, noise, and distractions. I wouldn’t mind surrendering myself to nature for a few days where I am just surrounded by birds, butterflies, dandelions, grass, lakes, and sand. I’ve also always had this desire to jump into a lake just while the sun is setting. Of course, I’ve never come close to doing such probably because the dirtiness of the water usually comes to mind first.

I’m going to cherish the next few days of sunshine before I prepare myself for an upcoming weekend of rain. Beaches, fireworks, ice cream, blue skies .. yes, yes, yes.

AA U-neck dress, AA lace bodysuit, TNA leggings, Zara lace-up wedges, F21 ring

A nice spring day calls for a walk along Main St. Unionville. Discovered this beautiful place last summer and I can honestly say that it is the best place to go to on a warm, sunny day. Terrance and I came here to enjoy a relaxing afternoon before I headed back to Hamilton. I love wandering through the boutiques and heading down to the pond area. The weather wasn't as lovely as expected, but any kind of weather is better than a rainy day.

Community bustier, Wilfred cardigan, H&M pants and belt, F21 bird necklace, MK shoes

It feels like I have been recycling the same pieces over and over again. I've been living off of these MK heels only because I left all other pairs of heels up at mac. I've also been having a bustier craze lately as you all may have noticed and it's practically all that I've been wearing. Found this pair of H&M pants lying around in my closet and decided to give them another shot. I've been trying to find some spring (bird) prints, but I haven't came across anything that is utterly eye-catching.

Had dinner at the Nami Japanese Seafood Restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday today. The atmosphere was lovely since we got the private room and got to experience the traditional Japanese culture by taking off our shoes before getting seated. Personally, I feel that nothing warrants the price there. Shared the sushi moriawase and chirashi sushi dish with my bf for $65 and the quality of the sushi and sashimi wasn't all that great. Definitely did not get my money's worth.

La Bamboche

Went over to Shops at Don Mills yesterday with tl to drop off a resume. The wind and rain pretty much discouraged us from walking around any longer.

On a lighter note, after holding it off for months, we finally went to La Bamboche for some delightful macarons and sweets. It was my first time trying macarons and they were definitely worth $2.50 each. They were as delicious as they look in these photos. A second round is a must and by the end of the summer, I'm sure I will have tried almost all 12 flavours. I ordered the pistachio and mint chocolate, but the mint chocolate did not taste as pleasing as I would have thought. I assumed it would taste as great as Chapman's mint chocolate chip ice cream, but definitely did not. On the other hand, the pistachio macaron was a satisfying treat though. I didn't read a review until after I came home to find that the pistachio was actually one of their popular flavours. The lavendar was the next popular flavour and I regret not having tried that instead. My bf had a fruit tart filled with berries which was also a luscious sweet. La Bamboche is a great place to pick up a light treat with either your significant other or a good friend. They hold a small selection of goodies, but I honestly went there specifically for their french macarons. Although the petite pastry shop is almost impossible to find, it is definitely worth looking out for. The macaron pyramid was the most alluring ornament.

Caught him randomly fiddling with a used sweetener packet and thought he was simply tearing it up since I'm such a bore. He teared our first initials and neatly assembled it on my plate with the letter "n" in between. He's such a sweetheart.

With love

Happy Mother's Day. I hope all of you enjoyed a funfilled day with your lovely mother. I love my mom for always being such an understanding and sweet mother.

Zara boyfriend blazer, Zara top, Talula lace bra, TNA leggings, Zara lace up wedges, F21 bird necklace

Met up with one of my close friends for lunch yesterday. He lives down my street so it wasn't long before we began filling each other in on our lives. We had lunch at Moxies and their food was surprisingly good. I've always imagined their food to be similar to Jack Astor's, but it was better. I have been to Moxies countless times, but I found myself only ordering appetizers from there. This time, I ordered a virgin daiquiri and the seafood linguine and he ordered the steak. It was refreshing to be able to catch up with an old childhood friend about pretty much everything.

After lunch, I met up with the bf and headed to downtown Toronto. Sadly, we couldn't walk down Queen st. with the messy rain and decided to stay inside the Eaton Centre. Walked across to the AMC theatre to catch Iron Man 2. The movie is a definite must watch. To my surprise, it was a pretty awesome movie since I have not seen the first Iron Man. Walked over to Marble Slab in the pouring rain to grab a quick sweet after the two hour film. Without doubt, this is probably one of my favourite dessert shops. If it wasn't for the price, it would probably be my most favourite (I have no idea how we ended up paying $17 for ice cream).

On another note, my job search begins yet again today. I'm tired of going back to Spring Rolls (a Pan-Asian cuisine that serves Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese food) since bartending is completely irrelevant to what I wish to do in the future. I hope that my attempt to find a job at Shops at Don Mills today will be successful. If all else fails, I'll resort to the good old Spring Rolls for a last minute employment (considering that the manager told me to go back to work for him yesterday when I bumped into him at the mall). Oh, looking forward to trying out some delightful macarons at La Bamboche today down at Yonge and Eglinton.
