How striking and beautiful is this pink covered park? It was like a pink wonderland featuring a maze that was beyond fun to shoot in. When we decided to shoot at the June Callwood Park, an urban park located in the heart of the Fort York neighbourhood, I was beyond thrilled. I've been meaning to visit this place all summer and had little idea that it was only about a 20-minute walk from where I live.

So in love with this photo that Cynthia shot for me a little while back when we met. This is such a fun backdrop — can you believe that it's the window of the Louis Vuitton store in Yorkville? We had a blast getting to know one another over brunch at Wish, followed by a mini photo session, and a trip to Avenue Rd. pick up beautiful, fresh peonies.

White Vest & Ripped Jeans

A white vest or waistcoat is a great addition to any wardrobe. I have to say that this is likely my most favourite casual Friday ensemble because of it's opposite attributes. I love how the tailored and well-structured vest balances out the distressed, ripped denim so that it's appropriate for the office. I've also styled this white vest in a few other ways, which you can see here and here!

Showcasing some beautiful handcrafted pieces from Gem & Blue's collection of delicate gems on shopgoldyn.com. Every piece has been carefully designed and curated for the minimalist. If you've been following me for a while, you will know that I love any kind of simplistic and feminine jewelry, especially if it was 14k gold-filled — simply because it's less likely to tarnish overtime. Most of these pieces are made in either 14k gold, rose gold-filled or sterling silver which is perfect! I paired them with my David Smallcombe bracelet because they're very similar in kind - 14k gold & rose gold-filled, hammered and also very light and delicate. The rings can be worn alone or stackable (which I prefer!). I like to have an assortment of varying sized rings so I can stack them and wear them on different fingers!

A Touch of Masculine

There's nothing more feminine than a lightweight camisole trimmed with lace. This has been my go-to top this Summer because of how airy and effortless it is, plus it pairs nicely with these faux leather shorts. I wanted to add a touch of masculinity to this outfit so I topped it off with this J.Crew Panama hat for a tomboy-esque look.

Summer has officially declared its arrival with weather that’s now appropriate for rompers, shorts and dresses. I’ve been head over heels for rompers lately because they’re so perfect for the season. It’s easy, loose and lightweight so that you can quickly throw it on with zero fuss. The only fuss you will need to worry about is your trip to the restroom. For those who own rompers, you will understand this challenge.

Top 5 Bags

July 7, 2015

Untitled Asides from my obsession with shoes, I've also grown a love for bags overtime. Within the last three years, I've learned to invest in bags that would last me for years and would love until the end of time. What I've realized is that one size doesn't fit all, which is why I try to look for bags of different shapes and sizes and would be appropriate for various occasions, be it special or not. Today, I'm sharing with you my top 5 favourite bags...

1. Bucket Bag | Mansur Gavriel mini bucket bag

The bucket bag is something that I was torn on whether or not to purchase because it's a known fad and will likely fade within the next year. When Mansur Gavriel introduced their bucket bag, I had a completely different opinion. Their bags are handmade with fine Vegan leather and finished with beautiful touches, such as the simple bow. I can't comment on the patience you will need before you can lay hands on one, but it's totally worth it once it arrives. It's so perfect for the spring and summer seasons - I love that I can just toss in my sunglasses, phone and wallet without much effort. I like wearing it with a silk romper or maxi dress.
